Blind Leading The Blind

Blind leaders can’t lead you if their eyes aren’t open to see God in all his glory. Blind leaders are lead by their own carnality, not by the Holy Spirit. There are so many leaders led sheep astray by false doctrine and false teaching. Open your eyes “Body of Christ”, discern the time we are in. Like I said before, the church has gotten in bed with Jezebel. Wake up  before “it’s to late”. God is holy. He is righteous! God’s word should never be compromised or changed to accommodate anyone. Our life should come up to God’s standard.
Matthew 15:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Proverbs 30:6 New Living Translation (NLT)

Do not add to his words,
or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar.

Revelation 22:18 New Living Translation (NLT)

18 And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book.

Broken Families

Broken Families!

In today’s society its the norm to have one parent households, leaving the child without either their father or their mother. There was a time when having children out of wedlock was shun or frown upon. Now you have women going to sperm banks getting artificial insemination, and becoming surrogate mothers for gay partners. Children are being raised in broken families with broken morals and values. Little boys are growing up without a dad to tell them how to become a man and how to treat a woman. So you have a lot of young men walking around calling females thots, and other perverse names. The young men grow up all their life hearing their mother tell them they will be like their no good daddy. Therefore, they lose respect for all women, even their mother and they resent her. In a one parent household a child will lack stability. I came from a broken home my dad abused my mother and my siblings on numerous accounts. I came from a broken home at the age of 5, I was sexually molested until I was 12 years old by a relative. At the age of 18 I was raped. I always promised myself that I would never be in a relationship with any man that was abusive, but most of the guys I was with in relationship with was abusive. I was married for 18 years and endured physical, emotional, and mental abuse until God give me the strength to leave. Children need both parents. Broken homes make broken children who become broken adults and repeat the cycle of brokenness. The answer to fix these broken homes is to keep God first, but it starts first with the man of the house.  (Read scripture below)

1 Corinthians 11:3

But I want you to understand that Christ is the head (authority over) of every man, and man is the head of woman, and God is the head of Christ.

Resting in God

In the winter season God’s creation rest, its a time of refreshing, a time of revival, a time of rest. Merriam-Webster dictionary defines hibernation as an inactive state resembling deep sleep in which certain animals living in cold climates pass the winter. In hibernation, the body temperature is lowered and breathing and heart rates slowdown. Hibernation protects the animal from cold and reduces the need for food during the season when food is scarce. Bears, hedgehogs, bats, prairie dogs, hamsters, skunks, ground squirrels, common poorwills, deer mice, and wood frogs are creatures that  hibernate in the winter. Winter is a time to slowdown and reflect, a time to get refilled spiritually.  We are all in different seasons in our spiritual walk with the Lord Jesus and in our life, but no matter what season we are in we must learn how to rest in God. Utilize the winter season in your life to grow in God, to get revived, renewed, so that you can pour into others.  Stay hidden in God and when your winter season is over you will come forth as pure gold.

Job 23:10-12 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) 10 But He knows the way that I take [He has concern for it, appreciates, and pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as refined gold [pure and luminous]. 11 My foot has held fast to His steps; His ways have I kept and not turned aside. 12 I have not gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed and treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. Hibernate in God: hide and take cover in Jesus.

All creation was created with a need to rest. Animals of all kinds have a resting phase, with that being said why is it so hard for us as believers to take out time to rest in God, to bask in His glory, to get rejuvenated in our spirit. When we don’t take out time to rest in God, we will feel drain. Resting in God allows us to get replenish to equip us for the work of the Kingdom of God and every spiritual attack of the enemy. It’s good for every believer to take a sabbatical (retreat) in God, to get refreshed.  We as Christians all need to be refilled, just like our vehicles need fuel to run, we need to be refueled through the Word of God, in worship unto our Heavenly Father God, and a time of consecrating our body to the Lord through fasting. Life has a way of draining us especially when you are depositing into other people lives when doing the work of the Lord Jesus. God called us as believers to build up and edify each other, we are depositors and the ones we deposit into are receptors of the gifts God has placed in us for the Body of Christ. Our gifts are for others, not for ourselves and not for personal gain, it’s to bring glory to God. I said all of that, because we as believers must learn that taking a time of rest in God replenishes us  building us back up to deposit into others. That’s why many Christians get burn out, because they don’t know how to rest in God. I know some Christians in ministry may feel like superman or wonder woman, but even they had moments of weakness. Rest my sister and brother, you are mortal, not immortal, God wants us to rest in Him! I have listed a few scriptures to below about resting in God.  Meditate on these scriptures in those moments when you feel overwhelmed, when you feel drain know God wants you to learn how to rest in Him.

Mark 6:31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.

Genesis 2:2-3 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

Matthew 11:28-29 “…Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Psalm 62:1-2  “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”

Isaiah 40:28- 31 “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Take the Bull by the Horns!

“Take the bull by the horns,” is a idiom used to tell a person to confront a problem head-on and deal with it openly. So often we try to avoid confrontation or facing the problems in our life. The one it affects the most is us. Only you know what you allow to plague your life. Stop running from your past and face them. Stop allowing fear to keep your life in a standstill. You are stronger than you think. Today is the day you need to confront whatever issue is holding you back from all that God has for you and deal with it. Whatever is in the dark controls you, deal with it openly. Get to the root of the problem and deal with it, face it, accept it, and release it to God!

Etymology: based on the idea that holding a bull (male cow) by its horns is a brave and direct action.

Matthew 11:28-30 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will [a]ease and relieve and [b]refresh [c]your souls.]

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest ([d]relief and ease and refreshment and [e]recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.

30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, [f]good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.

Let Go and Let God

The hardest things to do sometimes is letting go of baggage from our past and learning how to let God heal us. UN-forgiveness is one weight in a person’s life that keeps them from letting go of their past hurts. UN-forgiveness is poison to the heart and physically, spiritually, and mentally affects our life and our relationship with God.   Physically UN-forgiveness can cause sicknesses, for example cancer. Spiritually UN-forgiveness affects us because it hinders our spiritual growth. Mentally UN-forgiveness affects our mindset, the way we think and our actions. The devil uses our past to infiltrate on our present and future.  Infiltrate definition is to enter or take up positions in gradually or surreptitiously, as for purposes of espionage or takeover. The devil uses our past to takeover our mindset. He knows if he can affect our mindset he can affect our heart. Proverbs 23:7a  (KJV) For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.  Issues of the heart festers into something worst when we refuse to let go of those issues. Past issues rotten the heart. Rotten is defined as something that is made weak, decay, morally corrupt, and spoiled. The adversary the devil tries to keep a person’s heart contaminated with past issues. It’s time to release those weights and give them to God. Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) 28 ” Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” DeWayne Woods a gospel artist sings a song called “Let Go, Let God” this song minister about surrendering everything unto God. Letting go of something is walking away from it and not looking back. Letting God is inviting him to exchange our hurtful past for his blessings (healing, restoration, forgiveness, and deliverance). Let the rest of this year be the year of releasing all the baggage of your past and moving forward in 2015. Otherwise, your past will continue to rule your present and your future.
