It’s something special in biscuit making! I remember my mother making biscuits when I was a little girl. My mother always had a hot southern meal on the kitchen table everyday. It is in her mothering me and my other 3 silblings that I learn how to be a mother and wife. She always put her children before herself. I was married 18 years to my ex-husband. In those 18 years I dealt with emotional abuse and physical abuse. Every woman dreams of getting married and taking care of their family. A wife to me keeps her husband and children happy, and she teaches her children Christian morals and values. When I got married I found joy in cooking and was eager to do all I could to make my home a happy home, soon I dealt with alcoholism, emotional abuse, and physical abuse by my ex-husband. I remember cooking and making those biscuits like my mother taught me, yet when the abuse continued for years, I stop making those biscuits. When I would cook and serve my ex-husband the food I would cook he would tell me to give it to our dogs or put it in the microwave. I was cooking and he wouldn’t eat. Recently I was in my kitchen making homemade biscuits and God told me that I allow the enemy to take away my joy in being a mother and wife. In my kitchen I had a breakthrough making biscuits. I love being a wife and I love being a mother to my children, that’s what God gave me. It’s a blessing in being a wife when you are married to the one God has ordain for you. The abuse by my ex-husband took the enjoyment out of making biscuits. His abuse took the joy out of serving as a wife. There are many women who aspiration was to be the best wife they could be, but it was shattered by abuse by their husband. God wants to heal you woman and give your joy and desire back. Don’t allow the domestic abuse in your past hinder your future with the one God has for you. Today I am married to my God-ordained mate. My husband treats me like the queen I am. Honey, it’s healing in the kitchen, making mama’s homemade biscuit recipe. Don’t allow domestic abuse shattered your dreams of being the wife God ordain you to be or steal your mama’s biscuit recipe.
John 8:10 Living Bible (TLB)
10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to her, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”
There are so many things in our past that brings accusation against us, if we allow it to condemn us. Often its us that brings accusation against us and other times we allow others judgment of us define us or condemn us. Are you still allowing the sins you did before Jesus found you lost in your wilderness. Are you still walking in the wilderness of your mind, lost in your past, even though Jesus saved you from your sins? A lot of Christians are yet reliving and rehashing up their past like they are still walking in their past. Hey Man, Hey Woman , “Where are your accusers?” You aren’t the same old you, the one that was in sin. Why do you insist on carrying or lugging around those burdens of yesterday years? The woman in John 8:10 was an adulterer, yet Jesus showed mercy on her, even when her accusers sought to condemn her and came to Jesus wanting Him to condemn her too. Yet Jesus told her accusers if they are without sin cast the first stone. My question to you are you throwing stones at yourself? Are you your accuser? Are the sins of your past keep accusing you and you are accepting the blame? Are you allowing the shame of what happen to you as a child paint a vivid picture of how you see yourself today? Why are you accepting the blame, Jesus paid the penalty for your sins and shame? Stop condemning yourself and start celebrating the liberty from sin and from your past. Jesus told that woman go sin no more. If your accusers are someone other than you how can they accuse and condemn you they aren’t sinless either. Do you still let the sins of your past label you today? Instead of you professing that you are a child of God, are you still saying to yourself, ” I AM DAMAGED GOODS.” How do you see yourself? Do you see an ADULETRER, MURDERER, LIER, THIEF, FORNICATIOR, HOMOSEXUAL, IDOLTRY, OR ANY OTHER SINS OR ISSUES when you look in the mirror at yourself? Your soul is crying out silences my accuser(s) so that I can be who God says I am and be free of my past. Jesus silenced your accuser when He saved you, when you had met Him in your pit experience. Jesus said, He came to save the lost, He came to give you a new name and new identity. Today God is silencing your accuser! Walk in liberty where Christ Jesus has set you free! If you repented and living your life everyday consecrated unto Jesus why do you still label yourself by your past? Why do you still see yourself as, “DAMAGED GOODS?”
Galatians 5:1 New International Version (NIV)
5 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 New Living Translation (NLT)
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
John 8:8-12 The Message (MSG)
6-8 Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger in the dirt. They kept at him, badgering him. He straightened up and said, “The sinless one among you, go first: Throw the stone.” Bending down again, he wrote some more in the dirt.
9-10 Hearing that, they walked away, one after another, beginning with the oldest. The woman was left alone. Jesus stood up and spoke to her. “Woman, where are they? Does no one condemn you?”
11 “No one, Master.”
“Neither do I,” said Jesus. “Go on your way. From now on, don’t sin.”
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only truth we should pivot our walk after. Not any other truth, all other truth don’t have Jesus. We should strive to live by God’s standard of holiness and righteousness. We are pressing towards the high calling in Christ Jesus, our goal is to become like Jesus. Any other truth can’t help you as a Believer of Jesus live a righteous life, because it didn’t sacrifice, give, or pay the penalty for your sins, only Jesus! You can take Buddha out of Buddhism or Hinduism and you will have truth even though its mans truth which is fallacy, but if you take Jesus out of Christian belief you won’t have Christian belief because Jesus is the truth our relationship is built on. Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam discuss man’s sin, but don’t give a antidote that include grace. The thing that separates Christianity and all other belief systems is grace. He is what we believe, he is the true foundation which we are grounded on, our faith is in Jesus. Jesus is the Gospel we preach and teach, because its through Jesus alone that we have salvation, healing, and deliverance through his atonement on Calvary. Church lets preach Jesus and watch hearts be transformed and minds being renewed. There are many false religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, etc.) and false doctrine and teachings that is built on man’s wisdom, but don’t have the power to change lives. They give false peace, only Jesus can give us true peace because He is the Prince of Peace.
Ephesians 2:14-22 (NKJV)
Christ Our Peace
14 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”
Jesus is love, hope, peace, and salvation and life. Religion offers false assurance, hope, peace, happiness, and love. They can’t give genuine love, peace, or joy its only found in Jesus. Jesus came to save the lost, so He gave himself to pay our sin debt, that’s love, that is the gospel, true gospel that saves, no matter the cost.

Merriam-Webster dictionary, define affirmation as, “The act or an instance of affirming: state of being affirmed.” In society, people seek affirmation from people and things. Some people allow others opinion to affirm who they are and how they see themselves. Our identity or our perception of how we see ourselves is shaped by what we allow to affirm us. What we seek affirmation from is what we will put all our time and effort. If its money you will only find fulfillment by how much money you have. There are many ways people seek to be affirmed, through relationships, through drugs, street life, alcohol, sex, church titles, and etc. In the end they will find themselves still with a void that only Jesus Christ can fill. The definition for affirmation is the declaration of the truth of something. Some people seek validation from people or things to find their self-worth or identity. After seeking affirmation from people or things they still will find that they have a void in their life. No one or nothing can confirm who you truly are, but God. There are so many people who are looking to others or things for their identity and approval, instead of God. LGBT Community accept and affirm each other, now some of the churches are affirming homosexuality, so why would LGBT community feel or see the error of their lifestyle when the churches are affirming homosexual lifestyle in churches today. Why would they repent when leaders in Christendom are coming out the closet, professing to be saved, sanctified, and full of the Holy Spirit, but operating in the spirit of perversion? I was reading an article on entreatingfavor.com it called LGBT community acceptance and affirming “gay affirming.” That’s what some of the churches are doing today affirming LGBT lifestyle instead of standing on the truth of God’s word. God told me that some churches aren’t birthing out his glory, they are birthing out the spirit of perversion, the spirit of Jezebel.
1 Samuel 4:19-22 New King James Version (NKJV)19 Now his daughter-in-law, Phinehas’s wife, was with child, due to be delivered; and when she heard the news that the ark of God was captured, and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and gave birth, for her labor pains came upon her. 20 And about the time of her death the women who stood by her said to her, “Do not fear, for you have borne a son.” But she did not answer, nor did she regard it. 21 Then she named the child Ichabod, [a] saying, “The glory has departed from Israel!” because the ark of God had been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband. 22 And she said, “The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.” Eli’s daughter-in-law died after giving birth to her son Ichabod because she knew God’s glory wasn’t with Israel. The sad thing today is that some churches don’t see that God’s glory has departed from them, so they are going through religious rituals, having a form of godliness, but deny God’s power. Read 2 Timothy 3:2-5.
1 Peter 1:16 says, New International Version (NIV) 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” Revelation 2:5 New Living Translation (NLT) 5 “Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches.”
The issue at hand is the churches that are affirming sin, instead of letting God’s word judge and be the standard we as Christians live by, some churches that profess to be Christ followers have deviated from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
John 8:44-47 The Message (MSG)42-47 “If God were your father,” said Jesus, “you would love me, for I came from God and arrived here. I didn’t come on my own. He sent me. Why can’t you understand one word I say? Here’s why: You can’t handle it. You’re from your father, the Devil, and all you want to do is please him. He was a killer from the very start. He couldn’t stand the truth because there wasn’t a shred of truth in him. When the Liar speaks, he makes it up out of his lying nature and fills the world with lies. I arrive on the scene, tell you the plain truth, and you refuse to have a thing to do with me. Can any one of you convict me of a single misleading word, a single sinful act? But if I’m telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Anyone on God’s side listens to God’s words. This is why you’re not listening—because you’re not on God’s side.”
My question is, “Why are the churches today seeking affirmation in sin?” Do we as a Body of Christ Jesus supposed to be affirming people in sin, no we don’t. If we just do what God told us in Mark 16:15-16 New Living Translation (NLT) 15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.” When we as the Body of Christ start affirming sin, then we are compromising the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The word of God should never be changed or compromised, Revelation 22:17-19 New Living Translation (NLT) says, 17 “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. 18 And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.”
Hebrews 13:7-9 New King James Version (NKJV) 7 “Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9 Do not be carried about[a] with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.” Many are being carried about with various and strange doctrines. They rather you teach or preach about prosperity or anything that soothes their itching ears, a word that ministers to their flesh. 2 Timothy 4:3 New International Version (NIV) 3 “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” They don’t want you to help them mortify the deeds of their flesh and minister to their spirit man. . They are use to watered down or half-truth gospel. Know those who labor among you, not every leader is sent by God, some are doing the work of their father the devil. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 King James Version (KJV) 12 “And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.”
Question do you find affirmation in God or in people or things? Do you affirm sin instead of standing for what you as a believer of Jesus Christ know is right and truth? Is your life reflecting the standard for living righteous and holy by the Holy Word of God? Ask yourself am I affirming sin? Are you compromising the Gospel of Jesus Christ? God is the only one who we can find affirmation, but we must come up to His standards, not our own. Leaders are you compromising the gospel of Jesus to get more members in your church or more offerings?
Revelation 22:18-19, lets us know those who add or remove from His word will be judged. Church we are in a pivotal moment where the world is seeking the Body of Christ for affirmation, for answers to their questions. Please Church lets lead them to Jesus, not to man’s doctrine, or anything that’s not coming up to the whole unadulterated Word of God. John 12:32 King James Version (KJV) 32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
Let us allow God’s word be the only standard we live by and show as the example to the world what God says is holy and righteous. The world is watching us let us exemplify Christ Jesus. Seek God for affirmation, not man or things. He is our Creator, He knows us, everything about us, Matthew 10:29-32 New International Version (NIV) says, 29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. [a] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. 32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.” God know how many hairs are on your head, He knows all about you because He is our Creator. Come to God for affirmation, for He said in Matthew 11:28 New Living Translation (NLT)28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
God is the only one that can affirm you if you have looked to the world or anything else to be validated, stop only God can affirm you and reveal to you, your true identity. Many even in the Body of Christ have let the issues of their past affirm who they are and how they see themselves. Their identity is distorted by their past or by others opinions of them. They can’t see themselves as a child of God because their past keeps reminding them of shameful and hurtful things. God loves you let Him affirm you.
You are the seed; get in the field, produce fruit and reap a harvest. God sends those who are equipped and not those who are afraid to or won’t get their hands dirty. Sometimes…..it takes going into places others wouldn’t dare go or weren’t called and/or destined to go. In actuality, God didn’t give them the assignment, but He gave it to you. What are you waiting for? In the name of Jesus, let’s go get the seeds and plant them all over the earth. AMEN!
The field is mine; it’s yours body of Christ. Let’s go share the good news of Jesus Christ. Someone needs to look at their field in the spiritual realm even before they look at it in the natural realm. Church….it’s time to reap the harvest. God gave us a mandate to reach the lost. The field is ready. What are we waiting for? What excuses can we give God?
When I was walking my dog Jake, God told me to look at the field. He said, “you are the seed; get in the field, produce fruit and reap the harvest”. I was asking Him what should I write about. He said, “tell my church that they are the seed; to get in the field and produce the harvest”. Before I knew it, I was across the field praising God, saying, “yes I will take this field for you God”. We must be willing to take any field for God and go anywhere for him.
What I leave with you is….
“Stay humble. Take the field. You are the seed; go produce and reap the harvest for Jesus”!
Luke 10:2 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.
